Stuff has happened in my life and I will be discontinuing the blog for a little while, I know I was just getting started and I’m sorry. My head’s not in the right place right now and I don’t know when it’ll be back to normal again. Whenever it is that’s when the blog will pick up. However, if anybody wants to take over I would consider it, I wouldn’t suspend the blog if there were a steady stream of submissions so that I could just use my template to make them but there hasn’t been very many submits at all.

That is all, I’ll be seeing you guys eventually.

I am currently a PreMed student at a not so prestigious school in the Central Valley of California. I came here not by choice but out of necessity because it was all I could afford, as did many of my friends here who also received the same full ride scholarship. I’m wrapping up my freshman year this May and though I have not been in college for a very long time I have talked to PreMed students older than me to get some of their input to try and encompass the full PreMed aspect even before I experience it.

I have known I wanted to be in the Medical field since I was about 8 years old. I had only been in the United States for about 2 years at the time and I already dislike the doctors in the area I grew up and I know now that I was right to because statistically we were home to some of the worst doctors in the area. This was my first push into medicine and I have been working for it since then.

My Med School of choice is Duke University followed by UNC. I chose these schools because:

They both have excellent programs
Financial Aid is great (Duke)
Proximity to my best friend in our future

After I finish residency and pay off any and all loans I will be working for Doctors Without Borders for as long as I possibly and reasonably can. In the event that my loans overwhelm me my fallback plan is to join the military as a medical officer to pay off my debts before continuing to work in third world countries.
